Auction FAQs
What is typically included in an auction pack?
- Contract of sale;
- Title plan showing the boundaries of the Property;
- Official Copy Register (Title document);
- Relevant Property Searches;
- Property Information Form, Fittings & Contents form and if applicable, Leasehold Information Form.
How does an auction purchase differ from a standard purchase?
Buying a property at auction differs from the standard conveyancing process because you will be contractually bound to buy the auction property after you win the bid. Completion must then take place within a set number of days following the auction. Failure to do so can lead to financial repercussions. You must therefore ensure you have finance in place to purchase before making your bid.
It is also important that you instruct Chris Stevenson Solicitors at an early stage in order to avoid delay.
Can the auction pack be reviewed prior to auction?
We strongly advise you contact Chris Stevenson Solicitors in advance of the auction so that we may review the auction pack prior to your bidding at auction. A full report on the documents will be produced so that you may decide whether it is right for you to purchase the property. Please contact our office for our fees for this service.
